Integrations
Add, use, and remove the shared Google OAuth integration for Google Chat and Google Meet.
Google OAuth Integration
Google provides a shared OAuth connection for Google Chat and Google Meet.
Prerequisites
- You are a workspace admin in RectifAI.
- The connected Google account can authorize the required Chat and Meet scopes.
- Your Google Workspace policies allow the app to access Chat and Meet.
- Google is set as the default provider in the categories where you want it used operationally.
Add the Google integration
- Open Workspace -> Integrations -> Chat -> Google if you want Google Chat support.
- Open Workspace -> Integrations -> Engage -> Google if you want Google Meet support.
- Click Connect Google Chat or Connect Google Meet.
- Sign in with the Google account you want RectifAI to use.
- Review the requested permissions for Chat and Meet and approve access.
- Return to RectifAI and confirm the integration shows as connected.
- Set Google as the default provider for Chat, Engage, or both if required for your workspace.
Use Google in RectifAI
- Create Google Chat spaces for incidents.
- Post incident updates into Google Chat.
- Create Google Meet bridges directly from incidents.
- Track meeting participation when the required Google-side event subscription support is available.
Remove the Google integration
- Open Workspace -> Integrations -> Chat -> Google or Workspace -> Integrations -> Engage -> Google.
- Click Disconnect.
- Confirm the provider now shows as not connected.
- If your organization requires a full revocation, also remove the app from the Google account or Google Workspace admin controls.
What happens after removal
- RectifAI stops creating new Google Chat incident spaces.
- RectifAI stops creating new Google Meet bridges from incidents.
- Existing Chat spaces, Meet links, and messages already created are not deleted automatically.
- If Google Workspace event subscriptions were created for active spaces, those may persist until Google removes them or the app is revoked on the Google side.
Data handling
- RectifAI removes the stored Google OAuth tokens for the workspace.
- Historical incident data stored in RectifAI remains under the normal retention policy.
- Any Google Chat spaces, messages, or Meet artifacts already created remain in Google unless removed there.
